It’s another summer fun day of news in Pharma-land. Over at Pharmalot, Ed Silverman shows how CME funding has gone down yet again. And Pfizer has agreed to a $ 491 million settlement with the U.S, Justice Department over inappropriate marketing of the kidney transplantation drug Rapamune. 

Meanwhile, Manhattan Research has found physicians expect more out of tablet-toting sales reps. “Biopharma firms must understand where tablets can add pizzazz to a detail – animations of a novel mechanism of action, for example – and make sure they haven’t overlooked basics like intuitive navigation and responsive design,” Manhattan Research experts say.
